Design explanation: I figured, since she is so timid, she’d want to cover up as much of herself as possible, so I have her a loose-fitting turtleneck sweater and a long, flowing skirt with school-girl like mary-janes. She is the tallest of the mane six, at 5’11. I made Fluttershy really tall and thin, but unlike Rainbow Dash, her features are softer and rounder. I’ve thought of her as gangly and tall because it would be a sort of foil to her shyness…she would always want to shrink away and not be noticed, but her height (and as a result, her general klutziness, as expressed in that episode where she earns her cutie mark) would prevent that. It also makes her appear more delicate. She’d probably hunch over a lot to try and curl up in a ball and make herself seem smaller. This asumption about her height and weight is also supported by her brief stint as a model, as models today tend to be tall and thin.
