Princess Comet Tail, daughter of Princess Luna, had snuck off to escape boring conversations her mother was having with nobles of Canterlot to try and enjoy the early evening. After rounding a corner or two, she bumped into a tiny Pegasus colt named Moon Dust. After introducing themselves to each other, Comet Tail commented on how Moon Dust that he looked so much like Luna, only, he was tinier….. and a Pegasus…. and a colt.
 
During their conversation, Luna had peeked around the corner, happy to see her daughter had seemed to gain a new friend, but also caught the mention that Moon Dust stated he was an orphan in Canterlot. Seeing how things were unfolding, and how Moon Dust seemed to open up to Comet Tail, as if she was an older sister to him already, Luna began to consider the possibility of adopting young Moon Dust. As far as she knows, no law is in affect that would prohibit Princess Luna from doing so. She best make a trip to the Canterlot Orphanage to speak with the caretakers right away.
