My first MerMay piece in almost 5 years! Also a great opportunity to draw a nice full piece for my anthro/mermaid flutterdash AU I’ve been saving 👀 I’ll probably expand more on it later and draw some of my HCs.
 
I think Rainbow got smacked off her board by a particularly violent wave and got knocked out. Definitely would’ve drowned if it wasn’t for sweet fluttershy who can’t help but be drawn to the ponies that dapple the ocean’s surface on their colorful logs.
 
I thought I was done like 5 times but I kept pushing it and it ended up pretty great in my opinion. Way better than I thought it would when I drew the initial sketch and left it in my folder for a week and a half lmao.
