“I mostly just wanted to design the dress. It was a lot of fun to do, a lot of the time Raritys dress gets turned into a normal ball gown however this girl loves fashion and being adored. So I decided to give her 1880s evening gown because those dresses are just so over the top and very princess style, I felt that Rarity would want one. Its also more original.
 
As for her human design, I went with a voluptuous body shape like most others. Kinda feel like a cop out for doing that because its not very original but I think it does suit her. She is a beautiful, talented pony who can pull off over the top dresses. I will point out that Rarity is wearing a corset in this dress so in reality, her waist wouldnt be that tiny.”
