Long time no see, DB! Here’s my take on post-apoc FO:E-style Sunburst.
 
Because of the permanent scrunchy look on his face, ponies know the Intelligence Officer as cold and unapproachable - he’s always wandering the stable with a focused, unfriendly look on his face and never makes eye contact…
 
I imagine prescription lenses are hard to come by, so he has to walk around with a permanent squint that makes him look a lot more intimidating than he really is (read: not at ALL, he’s ten times as awkward as ever and still retained his kind streak). He tries to stay indoors and out of everypony’s way, because his weak magic is barely worth a note in the margins when you’re facing down the dangers of the wasteland - but he desperately wants to make himself useful, so he’s constantly studying and trying to come up with quality of life improvements. He still has a place in his heart for kids.
