The only time I’ve ever felt justified in using the phrase “bah, humbug!” This is, after all, the original source :p
Also, don’t do the “it was all a dream” ending unless you’re Charles Dickens. He did it right. You don’t :p
(Really, it was a brilliant way to incorporate fantastic elements into a realistic story and preserve the realism, and sincepeople ponies are unusually sensitive in dreams, it makes a strong emotional impact / a hardened character acting a bit more humble a lot more believable.)
But it’s not such a good idea when you’re trying to make a very pragmatic pony learn particular life lessons…
