Madoka Magica isnt just my favourite magical girl anime, its one of my favourite anime, period. Rarely has the genre ever produced something that could actually be considered good, and yet a deconstruction of magical girl shows has become one of the pillars that holds it together. I really hope this isnt the last time we see a show of this quality in the magical girl genre again, if only to prove it wasnt a fluke.
