One season later…
 
The Mane 6 exited the hospital, all with a blank expression on their faces, while Spike was frowning.
 
Recently, all of the Mane 6 except for Twilight felt a morning sickness and emptied the contents of their stomachs’ that morning. They thought they had caught the flu, so they were heading, escorted by Spike as their support, to the Ponyville Hospital.
 
With the Nurses and the Docto r available, the mares went through some tests, before they had to go to the waiting room to wait for their results. In the end, they got told what was wrong with them, or in fact, what was alright with them. And the results had left the mares in shock and a Drake very surprised Drake. They all left after their results were told, bringing us to the present.
 
“ Well,” Spike said a nd look at each of the mares, “ That was surprising to say the least.”
 
All of the mares stared at Spike.
 
“We’re pregnant, Spike” - Rarity huffed – “ of course it’s surprising when you know you didn’t copulate with anypony, and yet somehow you still get pregnant.”
 
The other mares nodded in agreement. Spike just stared at them.
 
“Well, maybe not anypony but perhaps anyling?” At the mention of this, the color of the mare’s faces turned to a crimson flush and started to stutter at his innuendo. Spike chuckled.
 
“Yes, I knew about that, and that’s what surprises me. I didn’t know ponies and Changelings were compatible. ” Twilight explained her thoughts but stopped when she noticed that everypony was staring at her, specifically at her belly. “What?”
 
“Twilight…Didn’t you have sex with your Changeling too? Why didn’t you get pregnant like us? ” Rainbow Dash asked.
 
“ Oh…Well…That’s because I always took a birth control pill every time I had sex with my Changeling. It helped prevent embryo implantation, so I will not pregnant even if my egg was fertilized. …Didn’t any of you know the concept of safe sex?”
 
All the other Mane 6 looked at each other with silence.
 
“Well….We know that…We just…never knew that Changelings could impregnate ponies…So we kind of let them go…raw…”
 
Right at this moment, one scroll popped out of the air beside the Drake and Spike caught the scroll. He noticed his name on it; it seems to be from his Changeling counterpart. He opens the scroll and starts to read with a worried face. The mares just watched him until he smiled and that make the others wonder. “What was that, Spike” Twilight asked him.
 
“Well…Knowing that all of you…errr…nearly all of you got pregnant with your Changelings, I kind of worried that I might cause my Changeling to become pregnant too. So while I was waiting for all of you at the hospital, I send the letter to ask it. But it seems that normal Changelings can’t get pregnant without a Changeling Queen’s assistance, because only a queen can lay eggs. They need a blank egg from the queen if they want to get pregnant with their own child, so I’m not a father …yet” Spike then sighed with relief.
 
“ Lucky you… ” Rainbow Dash huffed
 
“ Wait…Doesn’t that mean you ha d sex with your Changeling too?” Applejack asked in wonder. Spike suddenly became aware of what he just revealed. He turned to look at Twilight and became pale…
 
“Spike….We need to talk….”
 

 
5 seasons later…
 
All 5 mares gave birth to 5 healthy hybrid pony/Changeling foals. Their father had still not returned yet after all this time. After watching her friends having their kids running around them, seeing them chatting about their motherhood lives, it made Twilight unsure if she felt relief or regret t hat she had taken the safe sex route back then. But since she and Spike didn’t have their own children, they volunteered to take care of their friends’ foals from time to time, when they needed some time to rest or their job was behind schedule. From time to time, Twilight would gaze far into the horizon, wishing that someday, her Changeling would return…So she might finally have a child of her own….
