Hub Network Sets ‘My Little Pony Equestria Girls’ Premiere (Exclusive)
 
The Hub Network has scheduled a My Little Pony programming event that will include the U.S. TV premiere of My Little Pony Equestria Girls.
 
The feature film, based on the Hub original series My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, will make its network debut at noon ET/9 a.m. PT on Sunday, Sept. 1.
 
In Equestria Girls, Twilight Sparkle’s crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, and while in pursuit of the thief, she enters an alternate world where she transforms into a teenage human girl. To find the culprit, Twilight Sparkle must survive her biggest challenge yet: high school. With help from her new human friends, who are all versions of her pony pals, she embarks on a quest to find the crown and change the destiny of the two parallel worlds.
 
After the Hasbro Studios movie premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival last month, it was released in select theaters, but additional showings were added once they began selling out.
 
The movie premiere will be part of a bigger My Little Pony programming event on the network. It’s scheduled to follow a My Little Pony Fan-Favorite Marathon airing from 10 a.m.-noon ET.
 
Hub Network kicks off the voting for the fan-favorite pony this week at San Diego Comic-Con (booth #4118). Fans can elect their favorite and also will have the opportunity to record a testimonial that could end up on Hubworld.com or on national TV during the marathon. Starting July 22, voting will be open to all viewers at Hubworld.com/vote4ponies, where fans can vote once a day and play online games to earn up to 10 more votes daily.
