Design explanation: Concerning race…I’ts difficult to decide because you can’t determine race based on personality. I just go with whatever visual I get when trying to picture her as a human. I’ve always seen Dash as Latina, so I’ve portrayed her as having a Hispanic heritage. She’s really skinny, tall, and angular, because I feel it represents her emphasis on speed training nicley. I gave her a pilot jacket with the fluff on the collar because I thought it was…roughly speaking… visually similar to a cloud, so I put the lightning-bolt that is part of Dash’s cutie mark right under it on her shirt…to try to incorperate the cutie mark there. I let her keep the wings (even though they were a pain in the butt to draw) because Dash isn’t Dash without them. Eyebrow piercings because we all know she totally would. She’s wearing leggings because of her need to be mobile but aerodynimic…I assume cargo shorts would not be practical when doing sonic rainbooms :P. Obvious pilot theme is obvious.
