This is how I personally see the Mane Six.
Twilight (Princess)
She always thinks she knows exactly what to do and expect because of all the books she reads. She has a list, map, schedule, ect. for almost everything and then she’s surprised when it’s not needed or when something happens that she wasn’t expecting. I don’t like that she seems to think she can predict life, and I think she may be developing a bit of a ‘big head’. My version of Twilight is a pompous yet cute god-in-training. She is closest to no pony but the Sun Queen, but thinks of Apples as her ‘adviser’.
Rarity (Thin Mint)
She’s always trying to look her best, even in inappropriate situations. Whenever she does something especially frivolous I want to shout at the screen “Now is not the time for that!” Can’t say she doesn’t make every situation fabulous though. My version of Rarity is someone who has tried to make her self beautiful to the point of becoming unattractive. She’s too skinny, but she doesn’t have anorexia, no worries. Almost-God-Twilight just doesn’t feed her. BECAUSE ALMOST-GOD SAYS SO. She is closest to Die-Die.
Fluttershy (Butter Cream (sometimes ‘freak’))
Fluttershy’s innocence is borderline airhead-like in my opinion. I mean, that head bob she did in the season 5 opener was cute, but let’s not forget that she was in the process of being charmed into a cult. I feel like I could convince her to light her hair on fire if I told her it’s the best way to keep warm in the Winter. My version of Fluttershy is a borderline creepy air-head who does unsettling shit whilst thinking it’s normal. She is barely close to any of the ponies, but if one had to be chosen, it would be Princess.
Rainbow Dash (Master Dash)
Rainbow Dash is always taking charge, and her loyalty to her friends and good-heartedness greatly out weighs her annoying habit of judging others before she knows them. She’s also a little violent sometimes, it makes me slightly uncomfortable. My version of Rainbow is a domineering bad-ass with massive sex appeal. She is closest to Die-Die and Princess.
Pinkie Pie (Die-Die (Nickname for ‘Diane’))
Pinkie Pie can be so damn annoying sometimes, but other times she’s so genuine it’s heart-melting. Then throw in the fact that sometimes she’s the only one who really knows what’s going on and you have a pony that conflicts me greatly. My version of Pinkie Pie is Rainbow Dash’s sexy pet-slave. Smooth as silk in her actions but just as unpredictable as ever. And I prefer her straight hair to her curly hair. She is closest to Master Dash.
Apple Jack (Apples)
And here we finally come to best pony. The only flaw I can find in Apple Jack is her quick-to-judge attitude, much like Rainbow Dash. Other than that, she is the most down-to-earth, sane, level headed pony to exist. I love her. My version of Apple Jack is a confused holder of sanity amid the perceived insane. She just doesn’t understand what the hell is going on half the time, and is still trying to grasp the fact that one of her friends recently became a god. She tries to keep everyone and everything together, but sometimes she can’t help but feel like the odd one out. She is closest to Master Dash and Die-Die.”
