Valentine’s Day is coming, and you know what that means. Our favorite pink princess is ready to take names and ship individuals like a mad mare. But she won’t be going in alone this time. Yes, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza is bringing the love weaponry, and she’s bringing along the Changeling of Love, Carapace, to join in. So be advised. Cadence & Carapace are not only bringing the heat, they’re bringing the love…in arrows. Bunches & bunches of love arrows. So protect your heads, butts, knees, & whatever orifice you got. Because the Princess of Love & the Changeling of Love are coming for ya on Hearts ‘N’ Hooves Day!
 
Artist Tidbit: I remember couple of years ago when I saw an artist made a wicked pick of Cadence with a wicked smile on her face, mostly because of Valentine’s Day, and it made me lol hard. Cadence is one of my favorite characters on MLP FiM, so it was a joy to get to draw her for the first time. I think I did well to get her despite the face she does have a lot of gradients on her from her wings to her mane. Adding along my Changeling O/FC Carapace was fun, giving my headcanon for Carapace is that she only shares her love with other Changelings and that she has a rather unusual unique ability in self-generating love (kind of like how photosynthesis is to plants), which makes her unable to deform back into her old form. I’ll get more into that later on.
 
I couldn’t recall if Cadence’s magic aura was blue (seeing as how I haven’t watch MLP FiM since the end of Season 5…yeah, I’m that lazy), but seeing some references help me to remember. Doing the aura for both her & Carapace took me longer than I wanted while at the same time changing around Carapace’s colors to match her for my Valourverse variation of her. Despite that this pic was something I’m rather surprise I was able to get done so quickly, so I thought I upload it a week early. Now to get to work on some other sketches.
