Day 116, Research Project: Blue Tide
“The results from the last experiment were explosive, to say the least. I was about ten seconds into my routine before Splint leapt onto the stage and took me then and there. I barely had time to get my thoughts in order before we were engaged in coitus.
It’s been a few days since then, and I found myself wanting to enjoy an old pastime of mine. I’ve dabbled much in the penetration and passing of dimensional and spatial borderlines, visited different worlds and seen many things over my long life. This hoodie has been a keepsake of mine from one of those adventures, actually.
I found it on a distant planet, being sold for an odd currency I’d never seen before. I believe they called it ‘dollars’? I still had access to bits back then, though it appears one bit was worth quite a lot on that planet. I was able to purchase this hoodie and quite a few other goodies for a single bit.
Is it because they’re made of gold? You wouldn’t think that would be the case, as gold is quite common on Gaia. Still, I was thankful for the favorable exchange rate, returning home once I had my things. The shorts, the stockings - longsocks, they were called, but I’d invested in a few other pairs as well -, this hoodie as well, they were all very comfortable.
Thus, here I am, rubbing the ear of my hood and gazing into the mirror. I always found this hoodie’s magic to be peculiar, instilling within me a sense of calm that I’d rarely been able to experience, even after my nights with Splint. Those were more relaxing, this is more…
What’s the word… ‘peaceful’? Yes, peaceful. I find I can wear this, lie down on the couch and feel safe. Actually, a nap sounds wonderful right now.
I’ll show this to Splint tomorrow. For now, I must rest.”
Author’s Note:
Honestly, I found the idea of a Pikachu hoodie being worn by Blue Horizon too precious an idea to pass up. It turned out magnificent and not a little heartwarming to boot! Even scientists dabbling into the crazed world of spatial warping and modification want to feel safe from time to time. This is the good Doctor’s way of doing it.
