Clover charges forward with her dagger, attacking with lightning read: mediocre speed! As her blade is about to connect, Silverwind’s magic forms a protective barrier.
 
“As much as I enjoy bleeding out, I think I’ll stay right here, thank you, Missy.”
 
Silverwind is still charging his spell!
 
Out of curiosity, Clover asks how long Silverwind has been a pirate.
 
“Oh, around several years, give or take. I used to be a traveling healer, specializing in White magics, but with the war to the south and all… I really didn’t want to be conscripted. I fight my own battles, thank you!”
 
Clover attempts the new spell, using her mind and focus together to try and draw out a barrier. Unsure if she’s doing it right, she asks if there’s supposed to be anything special about it.
 
“I’m surprised you haven’t noticed yet, Lil’ One, but you’re pretty much doing it right now.”
 
In front of Clover is a small, lime green barrier, paper thin. She’s been looking through it since she started concentrating, and didn’t even notice.
 
“Nuh uh! Keep pouring yourself into your shield. If it wavers, you’ll be hit instead.”
 
It’s Silverwind’s turn!
