Shining Armor’s team was a mixed bag of hard to choose, and easy choices. The easiest choices are at the top, especially when it came to the Gallade. I know I’m a bit easy on giving ponies shinies, but Gallade’s shiny form is so well matched for Shining Armor, both because of his name (shinies) and the colors are very similar. Lucario is there because of his loyalty, and after the whole chrysalis fiasco in the wedding, having one will help him find any other changelings with his Aura sense. Bisharp is a leader pokemon that leads small armies of Pawniards, and it suits him because he is Captain of the Royal Guard. Aggron is the Armor pokemon, so that was an easy choice. Plus, the metal shells he sheds every few months make great material for making more armor. Golurk to me always looked more like one of those old Spanish knights and conquistadors, which is why he has him, and the Dragonite’s Pokedext entry says it flies around rescuing drowing [sic] people in the sea, an honorable trait that Shining armor greatly admires.”-SeaAndSunshine
