Description

Yay for this part being mostly dialogue without a lot of scenery changes. so I was able to get it done quicker!

So, as I said in the previous part and I’ll reiterate here: there’s not really that much to talk about in the parts between the first and the last, so I guess I’ll mostly be giving some “behind the scenes” stories.

The rough draft I had for this part originally had Trixie and “Ghost” meeting up with Limestone Pie instead of Maud, but I was having trouble fitting the necessary dialogue into only 10 panels with it still feeling natural, and I felt that Maud would be the better choice here for a few reasons.

In case you’re wondering what this scene with Limestone would’ve been like here’s a sample of some of the panels:

  1. “Ghost”: “Is there another pony here that you can~~” Limestone off screen: “STEP AWAY FROM HOLDER’S BOULDER!”

  2. Trixie (annoyed) “Hi Limestone…” Limestone (angry as usual): “Trixie? You’ve got some nerve to show up here after you~~ Wait a second.”

  3. Limestone (looking at “Ghost”): “Is that ghost mocking my mane?” “What? No, I… Wait, you don’t even care I’m a ghost?”

4: Limestone: “Long as you stay away from the boulder you can be Celestia for all I care” Trixie: “Do you happen to know where your sister Maud hid the presents
    this year?”

5: “If I did what would be the point in hiding them?” “Do you at least know anything about the presents for her Ponyville friends?”

As you can see things generally stayed the same, “Ghost” got interrupted, the question of hidden presents got the same answer, and “Ghost”’s resemblance to Limestone and Marble was mentioned.
