Starswirl the bearded, known throughout Equestria for his mastery of magic, his spells, his tremendous beard and for having left a large number of descendants. The good man made sure that his mastery of the magical arts did not die with him, having a rather decent number of descendants with different mares. Of course not anyone would have the honor of giving birth to their offspring, women who wish to have their offspring should go through a series of medical checkups and tests that showed that their genes combined could actually result in something that could actually carry the name Of Starswirl’s offspring with him. Fortunately, Starswirl was young and quite attractive, by the time he decided to carry out this selection, but in addition, he offered a sum of money equivalent to the maintenance of his offspring until their maturity. The mares should be clear that he would not take care of their education directly, he would only ensure that the children followed an education appropriate to the future he hoped for them and that they were in a stable environment, both emotionally and physically. The first tests dealt with simple tests that would determine the IQ of the women, would be studied to their relatives immediately next, medical and criminal record and physical state. Even knowing the fussy of the unicorn, a large number of women gathered and performed the exams. A total of 10 mares passed all the tests successfully. Sincerely, Starswirl expected a smaller number of “winners”.
 
Starswirl’s genes are currently very broken up and there are almost no families aware of carrying those privileged genes. At least three families know for certain that they belong to this group of lucky mares.
 
Sparkle’s family: this mare in particular was of humble and honorable family, passed all the tests with an astonishing margin with respect to the rest of the candidates. To this day, Twilight Velvet is one of the direct descendants of Starswirl, who in turn had two children: Shining Armor and Twilight Sparkle. The choice of her name was no coincidence, in her, the Starswirl genes were very present, and her mother knew it at the first sight. Sparkle’s family continues to be humble, affectionate and quite successful as both children of Twilight Velvet have excelled in what they set out to do.
 
Pin’s family: the first impression you would take on this mare would certainly not be exactly positive, she was proud, envious, manipulative, greedy and capricious, but she certainly managed to fool Starswirl into the personality test. Pin’s family is still a very proud family, tending to look at the rest over the shoulder. Royal Pin, named due the halo that the little unicorn gave off, never felt welcome in his own family, so at a young age, he left the home. Even so, he did not completely cut off relations with his family, until he knew what would be the straw that filled the glass for his family. When Royal Pin began a serious romance with Pinkie Pie, his family frowned, and when he announced his wedding, Royal Pin was thrown out of the family by dishonor. Royal Pin, debased, changed his name to Pokey Pierce, married Pinkie Pie and had three children.
 
Lullamoon’s family: Bellatrix Lullamoon was the last of her family with that last name, tradition broke with her own offspring: Lapis Lazuli. The mare nicknamed Lullamoon did not emphasize precisely in any of the tests, in fact, of the ten chosen, undoubtedly was the worst, but managed to approve each and every one, in the nick of time. The family of Lullamoon had no prestige, no capital, no history, Lullamoon was willing to give it the prestige that deserved her name. Beyond being one of the chosen ones by Starswirl, the name Lullamoon has never emphasized more. Lullamoon was someone who was proud and ready to get what she wanted and thought she deserved. Bellatrix, better known as Trixie, also sought that prestige, like all her predecessors, achieving absolutely nothing. She decided to end the tradition of naming Lullamoon to all the descendants in order that, at least, one would someday get something big. Too bad that the one not named “Lullamoon”, is the one getting someting something big.
 

 
I hope you all don’t thing this headcanon is silly haha I had this on in particular since a long time ago, mostly due to the way I use to draw Twilight, Pokey and Trixie. You know with the curved horn and the cow-like tail and stuff. And then it all went off my own hands!! Let’s be honest, I currently working on my own view of Starswirl the bearded, don’t expect it to be as good as Lop’s, I’m not that good at making things… you know… fucking awesome and stuff…
 
Maybe, and just maybe, I’ll draw those three mares, just maybe.
