In picturing panel 7, I always thought of a story I heard from a friend:
 
My friend is a nurse. Although she never get married, she still need to take care of 5 children. None of them are her kids. Most of them were given birth by her older sister, a few of them were given birth by her distant relative.Due to her sister and relative’s irresponsibility, the children was poorly treated or even ignored. She decide to take the responsibilities to raise those children by herself, even if it means that she would not have any time or energy to pursuit a relationship of her own.
 
Taking care of 5 children is stressful enough, not to mention her family was never in a good financial state. But what make it worse is that her older sister would still come to her home and bother her if the older sister has encountered some difficulties or frustration in finances or relationship. Therefore, from time to time, another two children of her older sister would come and live in her home for short duration. During those times, she witness how badly her older sister raise her children. For instance, the kids sometimes would beg for tasty drinks like juice or milk. Upon hearing the demand, her older sister would just go to the convenient store and buy one without thinking. After giving it to the kids, the sister wouldn’t even care what happen afterward and fail to notice that those drinks were only sipped of a few mouthful before being throwing away. For another example, the kids sometimes would beg for Mcdonalds. Upon hearing the demand, her older sister would just go and buy without even considering the kids has already ate their lunch less than two hours ago. Therefore, like the last example, the junks food were only eaten for small proportion before the kids left them on the table and leave. Yet, the sister would simply ignore this like this is not her business. Knowing that her sister has spoiled the kids to much and has no capacity in raising and teaching, my friend would always stand out and discipline the kids by herself. Although the kids would always end up burst out crying, she know this is best for the kids.
 
The funny thing is that even though that two kids always get disciplined whenever they came to her house. They still told her they like to come over my friend’s house better than their own. She asked them why, but the kids can’t tell exactly why either. They said the feeling is just different and they like her even though she scolded them so much.
 
The story make me understand that children are actually very smart. Although the older sister did satisfied their physiological needs, but only my friend has given them the guidance that they need in growing. Although both are unconditional love, even the children would know the difference. And they know which one is the true way of loving them.
