The original design/concept picture of Maxilla I commissioned from Jargon Scott!
“Maxilla” is the term for a jawbone- relating to the story of Samson where he used a “donkey’s jawbone” to beat an entire army. Also referring to bone/skeleton in general since she’s a necromancer. Also just sounds like a good spanish-sounding name too I think.
“Muertos” is of course spanish for dead, and also relates to her being a necromancer. Fun fact, if you combine the 3 front letter of both their names, you get; Max-Ass!
