A lot of work went into this witty banana pony’s a-peel-ing character design. Hey! Give me a break! My username is “Mod Wit”, not “Mod Pun”!
Of course, Bananas Wit is primarily the color of a typical banana, so his coat is a pastel yellow befitting a My Little Pony equine character. He has a fluffy, pale-yellow mane and tail that’s reminiscent of a banana cream pie. Secondarily, his eyes are green like an unripe banana, and his bow tie is brown like the spots that appear on said fruit when it ripens. Here’s a fun fact (Well, it is to me; I never noticed this before!): Green and brown–which is dark orange–lie harmoniously on opposite sides of yellow on the color wheel, making them analogous colors.
And you’ll be amused to discover what’s in a name like “Bananas Wit”! Obviously, it’s a play on the word “banana split”, but there’s an even deeper meaning that I’ve stumbled upon just recently. “Bananas” means “mentally unsound”, whereas “wit(s)” can mean “mental soundness”. Therefore, Bananas Wit is an oxymoron–I mean the name “Bananas Wit” is an oxymoron! Hmm, I guess that explains a lot…
So, consider the characteristics when creating your character, because if you confer charisma to your little pony, it might charm its way into your life–even when you thought you had forgotten all about it.
