Happy Spoopy-Pumpkins night everypony! We don’t really celebrate Halloween down here in Australia (well not yet anyway, ask me again in another 10 years and we’ll see how we do >XP) but since I know so many who celebrate, I contribute to the festivities in my own way…by commissioning some cute art to enjoy! ^^

And for this year’s main event is one very close and dear to my heart, a concept that I’ve wanted for years now. >:3

Nightmare Night has come again, and in the Crystal Empire their royals have been working flat out to get the festivities organized and in order for this year, even the maids where kept so busy that there was just no time to get some proper costumes organised! Well, not for Shiny and FeatherTrap anyway, Cadance certainly wasn’t going to let them do it again after the events leading up to the prior year’s festivities… X)

So, this year Princess Cadance had a wonderful idea for what Shining Armor and FeatherTrap should do for their Nightmare Night attire, what with all the work that kept them busy in the lead up to the event, and no time to work on making costumes…and an opportunity for on last little piece of revenge over last year’s incident:

UNIFORM SWAP!

She arranged for a replica of Feather’s maid outfit, designed for Shining Armor’s proportions, to be ready by the event, frills, panties and all. Now come the night, they’ve been sent out to collect some candy for little Flurry Heart while Cadance minds her, leaving the two stallions to walk a few miles in each other’s hooves…or slippers for Shiny, I guess ^^

Still, let it never be said that Shining Armor doesn’t rise to the challenge, taking it in stride and strutting his stuff even dressed as a sissy maid with a frilly maid outfit. Perhaps feeling a little envious of his own maid, getting to wear something so pretty and surprisingly comfortable all day, every day.

…meanwhile poor Feather drags around the full weight of his master’s guard-captain plate on his back all night, struggling to even maintain a constant gait as the aches worsen with every street corner they pass. XP

I think this night is going to end with Feather collapsing from exhaustion once they reach the last house, so Shiny will have to carry the poor maid home on his back. Well, he wouldn’t mind if he did… after all: it wouldn’t be the first time. ;3
