Sugar Belle lay on her back, moaning quietly. Her hooves rested against her belly, which had swelled large and round with cake, resting on her plump thighs, gurgling and rumbling. She licked her lips, tasting the frosting that had been left behind from her failed cakes. With effort, she turned her head, looking up at her latest creation, and it was finally perfect, and for a wedding between the siblings of two of the Element of Harmony, it had to be perfect.

The other cakes hadn’t been up to the mark. The frosting had smudged on the first, then the second had been lopsided. Sugar supposed she could have salvaged them, but… she was just so hungry. The stress of being chosen - by the Princess of Friendship herself! - had caused her to stress eat more than she’d ever done before, even more than after Kace had asked her to dinner, and every one of those imperfect cakes were demolished by her hooves and her teeth. She looked down at herself and groaned again. Her belly rose high off the ground, and she knew even if she wasn’t on her back, her hooves would dangle off the floor, leaving her just as immobile.

Her belly let out another grumble, in a different tone, and she bit her lip, frosting again on her tongue. There was no way she was still hungry… was there? She looked back up to her cake, her perfect cake… now imperfect. The frosting on the top two layers was slightly darker than the bottom two. She stretched out a hoof, determined to get rid of her mistake, and begin anew…
