Original Description:
Big Mac met his late wife Rolling Thunder at a Ponyville fair. She was weaving through the crowds with this listless look in her eyes. She’d just been forced to leave her flight team and her boyfriend left her when she told him she was pregnant. She was beyond lost and in an unfamiliar small town. Mac didn’t recognize the pregnant mare but he stopped to help her up when she accidentally walked into a cart. When he helped her up, she proceeded to ball her eyes out.
Two years later, they were married.
Altogether, Mac and Thunder knew each other for 10 years before the latter passed on.
As I said in their kids’ bios, Rolling Thunder’s ex Short Fuse walked out when Thunder told him she was pregnant and refused to be involved in his son’s life. Shortie and Shenan have still never met.
Mac stepped up as Shenan’s dad and cared deeply for Rolling Thunder. She was a troubled mare who enjoyed the sport of stunt flying but did yearn for some stability. She found that in Big Mac and the two were extremely happy for those 10 short years.
In that time they married, had a daughter and eventually, Rolling Thunder returned to flying, which eventually led to her accidental death.

Thunder introduced Shenan to Rap and Hip Hop which he still loves to this day and was the catalyst for him becoming a wordsmith himself. Shenan is actually reciting the lyrics to “Homicide” by Logic.
Mac is a country boy and he HATES rap and anything too vulgar. He was unamused when Thunder taught their boy to enjoy rap.
Unfortunately for Big Mac, the only genre Shenan can’t stand is Country. He even likes Classical and Folk.
- Rolling Thunder was actually reinstated in the Washouts Stunt Flying team after Short Fuse and Lightning Dust had a falling out. She accepted and her a Lightning mended their differences. However…Lightning had become a bit more ambitious in this time to the point where Short Fuse walked away.
Thunder tried to change Lightning’s perspective but ultimately went along with the changes.
Mac and the kids used to come to the shows all the time. In fact, little Shenan planned on following in his mother’s hoof steps. But after seeing his mom’s life get taken at an event, he dropped that dream entirely.
