Through the MistAnd so I return…I’m doing better day by day, but of course loss is always hard no matter how much you accept it oofRight now I just want to sleep for a week because midterms ugh. ANYWAYWell well Chapter 5, you’ve quite a bit of ground covered-let’s run through it!Mistyyyy my girl! She seems to get better each chapter and I’m living for it! I’m so glad she was able to finally find her home-both biological and with her friends. Even though the Alphabittle reveal was not expected, I think he was the best choice for a family member, so kind and caring he be. Also something I did find amusing-the whole “everyone becomes deaf while the main character is having inner conflict” trope. The one scene with Misty under the table specifically made me chuckle: like, girl, you are literally talking with ponies no more than a foot away from you. They’re going to hear you!Continuing with Alphabittle, I’m glad that he was (eventually) able to realize that the filly he lost years ago may be in the same body, but is not in the same mindset. Opaline seems to have taken so much from Misty, and it shows. But she’s doing what she can to break that cycle and live again. And Alpha-dad knew that in order for the both of them to be happy, he must let her go-one of the hardest things that someone can do. That was really heartwarming and sweet, good stuff good stuff.Oh hey Dragonlands and Breezies, what up? The dragonlands certainly look more…prehistoric? Jungly probably fits better. Which I do prefer, a lot more to explore than just…lava. Speaking of…Hitch continues to be a great pony dragon dad and I love that for him. The fact that he was willing to stay in a place that he had never been in just to make sure Sparky would be ok is peak 10/10 parent in my book!Oh shit, Opaline broke through the barrier and pulled a Starlight. That doesn’t sound good. Will we end up having another Our Town situation? Er, with a little less equality and more power sucking, I reckon. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
