Mayor Mare: Well, Mr. Hothoof, Mrs. Whistles and Miss Dash, it won’t be long before the custody of Scootaloo is yours! All you three need to do now is sign the adoption papers and present your documents.
Bow: Holds up a piece of paper Here’s ours!
Rainbow: Holds up a piece of paper too And here’s mine!
Mayor Mare: Splendid! Now, just read the papers and sign please.
Bow, Windy and Rainbow follow Mayor Mare over to another part of the town hall. A minutes, after signing the papers, they came back with smiles on their faces. Windy is holding a piece of paper that says “This document confirms that Scootaloo has been lawfully and legally adopted by Mr. Bow Hothoof and Mrs. Windy Whistles, and has all the protections and legal rights of any foals born naturally to them” and Rainbow is holding another piece of paper that says “This document hereby certifies that Rainbow Dash is now the legal guardian and sister of Scootaloo through the process of adoption, and shall hence-forth have the care of her along with Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles”.
Mayor Mare: Congratulations, Mr. Hothoof, Mrs. Whistles and Miss Dash! From now on, Scootaloo’s custody is legally yours!
Scootaloo: Overjoyed Oh, I can’t believe it! It’s like a dream! A wonderful dream come true! She then runs over to her new parents and big sister and hugs them You guys are the best! I love you! Thank you….Mom, Dad, sis!
The trio smiles warmly as they return Scootaloo’s embrace
Rainbow: You’re welcome, little sister.
Bow: We love you, kiddo.
Windy: Welcome to the family, Scootaloo.
Headcanon:
The events of Season 8-9 (With the exception of The Washouts and Best Gift Ever) and Rainbow Roadtrip are not canon.
Scootaloo gets adopted by Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles after her original family pass away.
