I’ve ran into this AI generated picture of a Lyra centaur, which gave her an interesting look that inspired me. Though instead of her doing simple everyday things, my mind went to imagine her as a bookworm doing intense research (probably something about humans). Something I can totally see her doing, though I’m not sure how I’d justify her dressing up like that. She does look good though.

First time I’m doing shading and backgrounds. It’s not as tedious as I imagined it would be, though I did take some shortcuts. For the bookshelves I used a design I saw in the show, which I then copy-pasted into the picture. The books are taken from a free vector I found on Vecteezy. The rest is just solid colours with Gimp’s built-in lighting filters added. The shading is just the burn tool, which is probably not even close to how you’re supposed to do it. It was a lot of arse anyway, so I’m gonna have to figure that out by the next time. The books, the notepad and the pencil were all drawn by me (except for the monkey silhouette on that one book, which is from free clip art), as well as the magic aura. All hand drawn then traced and coloured with Gimp.
