The Twilight
“Time has passed since you crossed this path. A stunning viewpoint not too far away from the capital. You stopped and took a deep breath. The air was getting colder as the sun was setting. As winter approached, the nights were getting longer and longer. But you didn’t mind them. The cold nights had always something magical to them even if it was very difficult to explain. It just made you feel somewhat alive and happy.
You looked over the horizon. The sun was now gone behind the surrounding mountains. The sky was painted with many shades of pink and blue. This scenery was bringing back old memories. A fateful encounter. That’s how you liked to call that day.
“It has been a while!”
A happy but gentile voice spoke behind you. A smiling alicorn was happily approaching you. A smile drew on your face and you waved in response. Finally reuniting with an old friend. From unicorn to alicorn. “Such a special pony” you thought to yourself.
“I brought you something to warm up a bit! It’s going to get colder soon!” You then noticed her levitating two cups of hot cocoa, one of which was carefully placed on your hoof. You took a sip and a warm feeling wrapped you. Your eyes moved from the cup to her. Her gentile smile hasn’t changed at all since you met her years ago.
Slowly you moved on a nearby bench to watch the stars coming out while catching up with your friend.”
