Emerald shakes out the key with the heart on it that leads to the memory room and enters.
The place is exactly the same as he left it before, at least as far as he remembers.
“Whoa, what the heck is this thing?” Ruby says, walking in.
She takes a look at the shelf of spheres, then at the machine, and finally at the booze bottles and letters beside the apparatus.
Emerald explains what he figured out from the room before, and Ruby’s ears perk up at this.
“Oh? Let’s throw one in! I want to see some of Joyride’s past.”
Emerald looks at the shelving unit. He grabbed one of the orbs from near the bottom before, and it showed him part of Joyride’s childhood. Perhaps if he grabs one higher up he can see something from later in her life?
