Deep Field is a 36 year old unicorn mare hailing from the City of Oataca located in Equestria’s deep south, and is a celebrated and well regarded astronomer, working for Princess Luna’s well-funded astronomy programme.
Physically, she is in good health, and is of average height, weight and build for a unicorn mare of her age. She suffers from no long term physical conditions or disabilities, and is known to be a powerful unicorn, specialising in the Telekinesis discipline, and telekinetic heavy-lifting spells in particular.
In addition, she is proficient in all the standard basic spells as taught to every unicorn during their elementary magic education. Notably, she has absolutely no ability in teleportation spells, or in transmutation.
When at work or in public, Deep Field has a professional air to her voice and personality, and it is noted that she is very well educated. However, despite this, she is actually a rather nervous and insecure mare, and this all boils down to her cutie mark.
Deep Field has always felt like her cutie mark doesn’t really belong to her, and feels a strange disconnect whenever she looks at it or even thinks about it. She has never felt truly happy since before she got her cutie mark, even if she feigns happiness for the sake of her friends and family- none of whom have a clue about how she feels.
She is currently taking some time off from work and is currently in Ponyville to speak with Princess Twilight Sparkle and her team of specialists to try and figure out what is causing this disconnect. Of course, as the only real specialists in the field of cutie mark magic, the aforementioned specialists are the Cutie Mark Crusaders.
Despite her issues, Deep is a friendly, smart and kind mare who only really wants to help others. She does love to assist and help ponies overcome their own issues, and gladly does so at the expense of her own problems.
When it comes to more personal matters, Deep Field is unsure of where her sexuality actually lies, and is instead dating as she sees fit, not being ready to rush into anything long-term right now. It is noted that she has had partners of different genders and species in the past. Frankly, she couldn’t care less about the actual species of a potential partner, even if she isn’t a xenophile, per se.
Known to be a gentle and submissive lover, who is willing to step out of her comfort zone for her partners, and experiment sexually, she adores close physical contact and affection, and especially likes it when her soft and tender under-hooves are massaged.
She can be safely considered at least bisexual for the purposes of this entry.
