It was another lovely day in Ponyville. Maverick was in a walk around town with his close friend Lyra Heartstrings. They had just came back from a lunch together as they had a session together. Lyra made sure to hide the writings that she and Maverick made together as they were deep in conversation with each other. However, Maverick was met with a familiar face that always made his heart swoon as soon as he saw her: Ocean Soul!
“Hello, Maverick. Back from something fun, I’m betting.” Ocean Soul told him. Her voice was always so soft and tender.
“Ocean…” Maverick said before he looked at Lyra. “We were… just… having lunch together.”
“I bet…” Ocean Soul said, showing the slightest smile. Lyra saw that Maverick was blushing as his wife smiled, and she used this opportunity to her advantage.
“Boy… you really got lucky with her, didn’t you Maverick?” Lyra smirked at her friend.
“I did… yes…” Maverick blushed more and more.
“Look at her lovely lips. They just seem to be so lonely…” Lyra giggled even more. “Come on, what are you waiting for?”
“Even since the first day I met her… she just sent my heart racing…” Maverick told her before Lyra’s rump hit his, causing him to jump forward a bit.
“Just kiss her already!” Lyra spoke with a smile and a wink as Maverick and Ocean Soul locked lips, smooching gently. Sure enough, Maverick felt his heart racing as the two kissed, as did Ocean Soul’s. After which, Maverick placed a hoof over Ocean Soul, still smiling and blushing.
“So… what were you two working on?” Ocean Soul asked.
“It’s… private.” Lyra said.
“Yes. I’ll read to you later, OK sweetie?” Maverick asked, nuzzling Ocean Soul gently.
“I’m sure you will, deary. Probably when Bonbon comes around, right Lyra?” Ocean Soul smirked.
