In my headcannon, Sunny finds her this way. Broken after being thaw out from magic. Ashame and broken coz her sins set many events on motion. Grey. Her power gone. And mourning. And Sunny helps her heal. And when Marer Do Well, Twylight’s darker half (sort of the MLP version of the Valeyard from Doctor Who) reveals her sins, Sunny’s reaction be compassion as Twylight did for Fizzlepop Berrytwist. ANd Twylight’s pals who’d also been awoke by Sunny’s return. And Twylight regians ehr pwoer for saving Sunny.
