I know it’s been a while since I’ve done a health update regarding some concerns that have sprung up since earlier this year after my long existing nausea “episodes” had gotten worse to the point I was ill on a daily basis and unable to eat which caused alot of stress to the point I was becoming extremely depressed.
I’ve been visiting doctors again recently, after more concerns has come up regarding the fact of how I’m terrified to stop taking PPI (acid reducer) meds since they’ve been doing wonders on keeping my nausea in check, as a pharmacist had requested me to come in for further examinations regarding my constant nausea symptoms. I sat down with the doctor that I was recommended to see as the pharmacist believed it was GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) due to my acid reflux symptoms which have also been existant for about the same amount of time. It was concluded that there wasn’t much they could do for me, as she was only able to diagnois so much at the clinic that I was referred elsewhere ontop of receiving another month’s worth of my PPI meds.
I went to see them about two days after that appointment, and spoke further about my symptoms with a nice lady whom stayed in the room with me while I waited to do a video consultation with another doctor and it was concluded that my prognosis could most definitely be a case of Gastritis. All that meaning is that my stomach could be becoming irritated or inflamed to the point I experience all of the symptoms that were spoken about, nausea being my most prominent and most debilitating symptom of all. That and it could also be due to my stomach producing too much acid as well which could be adding onto it as well. I was told that I can always come back to request to see a specialist at the clinic, but for now I have received another 100 tablet count of my PPI meds ontop of the month I was already given for the time being. I have also been recommend some diet changes to see if that’ll help lessen my flare ups (no spicy food, less coffee/caffinated drinks as an example :“c I like mildly spicy food so I cri), especially if I do indeed have Gastritis, which kind of sucks but it is what it is. All I can say is that I’ve been doing fine for the most part while I’ve been on my medication as I’ve had no nausea episodes whatsoever, and I’m not counting the occasional upset stomach as they’re nothing compared to what I was experiencing before I started taking these.
Anyways, this is my update as I know I haven’t been as active recently, but I am currently attempting to catch up on lost time. With that being said, thank you for reading and I’ll be back to posting regularly soon. 💕
I could be missing some stuff regarding since this all happened about a week ago, I just forgot to update about it here.
