Hippo! Funny that it’s called a hippo, since its name is Ancient Greek for “horse,” like our little ponies. And yet it looks nothing like a horse, or a pony for that matter. Nonetheless, this “horse of the river” is an unforgettable beast. And while it’s usually depicted as friendly (even party pony, Cheese Sandwich, managed to get one to offer foals rides), in reality, the hippopotamus is one of the most dangerous animals on earth, especially a mother with a calf; even crocodiles know better than to approach one. Despite its huge bulk, hippos can gallop at a shocking 19 mph (30 km/h) on land! So don’t you mess with these big-mouthed Artiodactyls. They may seem docile and gentle on cartoons, but IRL you best be on your guard. Don’t worry, they tell me that they are only dangerous when they wiggle their ears and blow bubbles….

I remembered hippopotamuses appeared in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, in only one episode - “Pinkie Pride.” I noticed nobody made any vectors of them, so I gave it a shot (not at the hippos, but in the air to scare them away; bad joke). Anyway, it was easy and quick, though I had to do head shots, one with the snout closed and the other with it ajar. I figure you’d prefer it with its mouth open.
