Original Description:
Twilight Sparkle, the Element of Magic, the Princess of Magic.
Unicorn turned alicorn.
Demimare, she/they, bisexual.
Twilight is the shining pupil of Princess Celestia, a once unicorn with the most raw potential of magic that Equestria has seen within recent time. Despite those grand titles, Twilight doesn’t stroke their ego often. In fact, this alicorn doesn’t even like her Princess title that much. Or, rather, being called it. After years of growing up around the Canterlot’s Unicorn Elite, Twilight’s personality in their recent years has been geared towards sarcasm, skepticism, and slight snootishness. Along with that, years of being locked away in studies learning magic and… whatever else she learned, left them entirely book smart. Twilight, luckily, is good at making friends now, but happens to be forgetful of her acquaintances through no fault of their own. She’s kind in their soul despite everything, and would go past the ends of Equestria for her friends, and they already have!Notes:
- Used to be smaller than Rarity but still taller than Dash.
- Twilight does not have the magical abilities Celestia and Luna have yet, but she does have more raw magical energy than either of them had at her age.
- Trims their beard every third Monday.
- Has an undiagnosed neurodivergence.Spike, the royal advisor and friendship ambassador and hero of the Crystal Empire.
Dragon.
Cis guy, he/him, bisexual.
Spike is the Princess of Magic’s faithful assistant and technical son/little brother. Rather loyal and easy to stumble on his feet, Spike is much like he was in his youth save for the older mare crushing. Him and Twilight often indulge in sweets and hayburgers and things of that nature together, leading to his slow dragon metabolism making him chunkier than the average dragon really should be at his age. Not that he particularly minds, he’s very happy with himself and the spines at the bottom of his chin that act as an equivalent to chin hair. His greed and slight self-centeredness mellowed out with his age, leading him into ambassadorship not exclusively but often with Pinkie.Notes:
- Spike’s chunk actually stores a lot of dragon magic.
- Dragon magic includes: fire teleportation, protection from the elements, regular fire.
- Still meets up with Big Mac, Scorpan and Discord to do game night, renamed when Thorax started joining.
- Likes having a full name, that full name being Spike Sparkle. It’s not official, though.Fluttershy, the Element of Kindness, veterinary doctor and animal caretaker.
Pegasus turned bat.
Trans mare, she/buns, lesbian asexual.
The highly skilled and very lanky Fluttershy is an animal whisperer in the most literal sense. Fluttershy has plenty of Earth pony routes in her family, which could be the explanation as to why her own special magic is tuned to the domesticated or otherwise creatures of Equestria. Fluttershy is soft spoken and timid, but willing to be assertive if it is the best option. She resides within Ponyville and rarely ventures outside of it if she can help it. Her compassion for animals extends to all creatures big and small, having tea time with a particular Chaos Lord at the drop of a hat.Notes:
- Scared of Dash’s parents.
- Was almost a friendship ambassador as well, still joins Pinkie and/or Spike sometimes.
- Is a turned bat pony because of Twilight fucking up a spell. She was new to magic and didn’t know what spell to use for the fruit bats. Flutters has no ill will because of this.
- Has medicated GAD.Jaqueline Apple, the Element of Honesty, head of Sweet Apple Acres.
Earth.
Cis mare, she/her, lesbian.
Jaqueline Apple, more commonly called Applejack if you want to keep your teeth, is the shining star of the Apple Family. Once her dear sweet Granny Smith passed away and the Apples took their time to mourn, Applejack was appointed the one in charge (to Big Mac’s easily swept away displeasure). Through her time on the farm, her stubbornness and hardworkingness lead her to expand the barn and turn it into a place for many-a-creature to stay in should they find themselves homeless or in need of anything. She and her family are nothing but hospitable to the folks that stay there.Notes:
- Strongest of the mane 6 physically, including spike.
- Has a lot of unofficially adopted kids (whom she calls cousins).
- Only recently came out as lesbian, struggled with identity for a long time.
- Chopped off her tail in an anxiety episode, actually started liking it shorter.Rarity Belle, the Element of Generosity, fashion designer and seamstress.
Unicorn.
Questioning intersex, she/her, bisexual.
The fashionista herself, Rarity is a highly skilled designer with shops located everywhere in Equestria, from Canterlot to Manehatten to Ponyville. She also has shops outside of Equestria in Yak Yakistan, Mount Aris, the Dragon Lands, and one shop soon to be opened in the Changling Hive. Her designs are unparalleled, able to be fitted to any creature that should want one, as well as accounting for most disabilities. Rarity is the undisputable champion of fashion, which is surprising for a pony with such generous prices! Some can read her personality as snooty, self-centered, vain, but that would be wrong. She is a pony who owns her femininity, is unapologetically herself, and will try her damndest to put others before herself if she can.Notes:
- Should be wearing her glasses much more often.
- Her mane is actually closer to her dad’s color, she just dyes it.
- Probably the physically weakest out of all mane 6 physically.
- Still has some remnants of her corruption from her Nightmare form. It manifests in stronger magic and being more susceptible to curses, hexes, and dark magic, as well as constant nightmares.Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty, weather patrol and Captain of the Wonderbolts.
Pegasus.
Trans mare, she/he, lesbian.
The hotheaded and brash leader of the one and only Wonderbolts, Rainbow Dash is the star example of an extraordinarily talented flier. She leans into her roles quite seriously, and when taking time off, extends her hoof back to Ponyville to take on her old position as weather patrol. Whenever given the chance, she is right there by her friends’ sides and laughing right along with them. Her speed demon nature, one that rivals Miss Pie, makes her a bit hard to keep up with at times if you’re not ready to go along with her, but even she can take a break and relax.Notes:
- Cut off contact with her family, adopted Scootaloo.
- Also calls the creatures Applejack “adopts” her cousins.
- Hooves aren’t actually that color. They are stained from her first job at the weather factory.
- Has undiagnosed ADD.Pinkamena Diane Pie, the Element of Laughter, party planner and friendship ambassador.
Earth.
Genderfluid, any (mostly she/her), pansexual.
Pinkie Pie the super-duper party pony keeps to her roots in Ponyville for the most part, her energetic and hyperactive spirit never once faltering with her age. She sets up a gag and party supply store named Giggles and Goofs right next to Sugarcube Corner, although she no longer works there. She keeps in close contact with the Cakes and the Apples, as they are both technical family to her. Her ever-expanding party basement continues to aid her in all of her endeavors, including her excursions for her doing epic ambassador things.Notes:
- Her mane grew into her beard. The ties are from Prince Rutherford.
- Almost as much raw magical potential as Twilight.
- All of the Pies except for Maud and Igneous have dwarfism.
- Has unmedicated ADHD.
