Tentacles of black, sticky magic went deep into her body. They seemed to both burn like hot iron and tear apart like hooked thorns. If she could move, she would inevitably start tossing and rolling to get rid of this feeling. She couldn’t tell what was going on and what was hurting her, mind or body. It felt like an alien force was tearing her soul apart only to glue it back together the wrong way.
She howled, because she couldn’t call it screaming. The touch of the abyss felt like a caress. Violet light and pain became absolute. She felt his will, his unyielding strength, a power and power that nopony could wield. The roar of blood and the agony screams of thousands of the damned filled her ears.
Stars trapped in the dark.
The light of gray mists, banished and rejected.
Successive waves of suffering, each more powerful than the last, carrying symbols from the abyss, burning and destroying everything in its path. In those brief moments between them, she wanted to tell him to stop. She would agree to anything as long as he left her alone or promised her a quick death. Right now, she couldn’t see any difference between the two.
