Today’s prompt: Draw a pony being pushed to their limit / Draw a pony about to break.
I’m not normally someone who likes to delve into the realms of topical, but let’s face it: there’s too much going on in the world today. Whether it be people complaining about video games, movies, TV shows, or dread-laden, heart-sinking national or world news, or even just people being toxic, unpleasant, and unkind in general, there’s a lot to take in, and a lot you can wander into if you’re not careful. That kind of negativity can seep into your everyday life, affecting your mood and that of people around you. Worse still, if you start delving into it, chances are you’ll keep delving until you can’t stop, and by the end, you’re full of stress and doubt, wondering what’s going to happen in the future.
At those times, we need to tune out those kinds of stressors, and try to put our minds on other matters. For my part, I usually occupy myself with video games, YouTube videos, or story writing, stuff that keeps me nice and distracted. For Blazewing here, he just turns the computer off.
We can’t completely shut out what’s going on in the world today, but we can choose whether or not we let it get to us and consume our everyday thoughts. Sometimes, we need to recognize when we’ve had enough Internet stress for one day.
