IT’S SERIES TIME!!
I’m drawing The Dazzlings from ‘Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks’, portrayed as Team Azula from ‘Avater: The Last Airbender’. I couldn’t help but draw this comparison upon watching the show, and I feel like a few are with me on this.
Mai is the aloof one. She may seem like she’s in the background, but she gets to chime in with oftentimes meaningful input, although more often vocalizing a gripe or complaint she feels the need to voice, making her hot headed and less receptive to feelings. But she’s also seen as an important teamplayer, keeping both Ty Lee and even Azula in check.
In this right, she’s the obvious parallel to Aria Blaze, since it very much reflects her behavior and attitude, as well as her relationship with her sisters, Sonata and Adagio.

When I think about how much Team Azula reminds me of The Dazzlings, it actually makes me like them all the more.
