MLP: Human World - You’ll love again

Spike had just confessed to Rarity that he was in love with her and Rarity didn’t respond right away which made Spike feel really embarrassed.

“I-I’m sorry I bothered you.” He said, glumly, making a move to get the heck out of there.

But Rarity stopped him, grabbing him by the shoulders and turning him around so that they were looking right at each other. Rarity was down to his height, her eyes filled with compassion.

“Spike…” She started. “I’m flattered but… I just don’t feel that way about you.” Rarity sensed that Spike was getting even more upset and quickly said. “Don’t get me wrong, darling. I love you, I do. You mean the world to me. But I love you like an older sister would love her little brother. Besides, I’m too old for you. You… You know that right?”

Spike sighed. “I… yeah, I guess.” He said softly, trying his best to keep his cool. “It’s just–”

Rarity stopped him short. “Spike, I know. But there’s something you should know.”

“W-What?”

“There’s actually someone I know that really likes you.” Rarity told him and with a chuckle she added. “In fact, she goes on and on about it.”

“Who?” Spike asked, a small sense of hope shining through his eyes.

“I’ll leave that for you to find out.” Rarity replied with a friendly wink, giving him a playful nudge.

Okay, just to clarify and I feel it’s pointless because not many people read descriptions but THIS IS NO WAY A SPARITY FAN ART. The little fanfiction I wrote for this drawing should make that especially clear. I don’t like that ship. I just don’t. No offense to all the Sparity shippers out there.

This drawing and the fanfic (mostly the fanfic) is somewhat inspired by the scene in the Gravity Falls episode “Into The Bunker” when Wendy turned down Dipper. Just so you know there is a four year difference between Spike and Rarity in MLP: Human World and I’m going towards RariJack for this series now so Rarity has feelings for Applejack and doesn’t see Spike in a romantic light. And it’s obivous I’m leaning towards SweetieSpike for this series as well since I’ve already done a few MLP: Human World fan art for them. And that’s what I hint towards at the end of the mini fanfic for this drawing. This is sort of a prequel to Spike and Sweetie Belle getting together.
