I love Austin and Ally, definitely one of my favorite Disney Channel series and live action show in general. I have both dvds that were released and one episode of the recent DVD featured a song called “The Me That You Don’t See” and I really like it. I started out by finding it on Youtube just to listen to the full song but as I was listening to it a few times, I realized how fitting it was for FlashShimmer (actually made a little PMV set to this song) or Sunset Shimmer in general.

So I was inspired to draw this. The story behind this drawing is Sunset Shimmer encouraged Principal Celestia to let her put on a performance to redemn herself over her horrible behavior in an effort to get the school to realize how she is truly a changed person. And she’s singing “The Me That You Don’t See”. Also I thought it would be a cute sentiment that Appljack let Sunset borrow her bass guitar for this. The reasoning behind this is also because Ally was playing a bass guitar when she sang the song in the episode that I heard this song from. I had a really hard time drawing an expression that fully expresses the lyrics I wrote here.

I know the guitar has some weird inaccuracies but I simplified it a bit to make it easier for me to draw because I can’t draw a guitar for the life of me… lol
