History/Personality

Odyssey is reckless, selfish, stubborn with pride and someone who has very little reason to not do something for the sake of acquiring ancient materials. He is kind and respectful but generally someone who prefers to work alone most of the time. He lives like with simple interests and simple likes, his not picky though he does have standards. An avid bookworm due to Daring’s influence. He’s an incredible flier, part of Dash’s genes, and when he flies fast enough he can create rainbow streaks but is wary and self-conscious about them.

Odyssey despite working alone has a good companionship with Nemea, a heavily scarred dramatic immoral gargoyle, who somehow manages to find him at all times. Surprisingly he cares about her safety greatly. He became quite attached.

Odyssey was raised alone by his parent Daring doo, and Daring was not the best parent. They didn’t really know how to nurture a child much less raised one but they wanted one, badly. They liked the idea of having someone look up to them, following in their hoove steps, and…they will never admit it out loud, but they were lonely, very lonely.

Daring was dating Rainbow Dash for a short amount of time, but it was enough for them to become attached to Rainbow’s loud presence. And Daring never did things halfway. They wanted to marry Dash only a few months into their new relationship, Rainbow, of course, turn them down jokingly thinking it was more of Daring joking around, but Daring kept going. They needed Dash to stay by their side, without forcing her or doing something plain weird or creepy, if they don’t their live would go back to being its boring achromatic shade like their mane.

The relationship couldn’t keep going, Daring wanted somepony that wasn’t being forced to stay by their side so they decided to break it off with Dash. However, before they did that, they got some blood DNA sample from an injured Dash, and secretly kept the sample for months after they both broke up, some shady magic and half their money later, and they were officially a parent no pregnancy needed!

They continued their dangerous adventures despite having a child, after all, the kid has to learn the ways of the famous Daring Doo. Even their child with the name Daring on it, to continue the legacy. Odyssey was cared for like an apprentice, his wounds get treated, but his not coddled. As a child, he was usually left either alone and unsupervised for a day or two with food, when his parent left. Or other times told to fight monsters by himself to build up immunity and new content for Daring Doo’s adventures series that was read to him.
