This whole action sequence escalates so fast that there’s an inherent humor merely in pressing the pause button.

DM: Now that you’re hurtling toward a rocky hill… Fluttershy, what do you want Twilight to do?
Fluttershy: Me? Oh… I can’t really think of any cool attack sequence, so… Maybe just brace for impact with a magic shield?
SFX: (BOOM!)
DM: It works. Twilight kicks up an enormous amount of dust and leaves a crater, but suffers no mortal damage. Tirek has more than one Initiative, though, so it’s his turn once again.
Twilight Sparkle: Uh-oh. What’s he planning to do after throwing me a mile away?
DM: Naturally, he’s going to charge and ram you.
Twilight Sparkle: … What?!
Rainbow Dash: He can FLY now??
DM: No no no. Of course not. That would be ridiculous. He took a running leap.
