Rainbow Dash and Mullet dance alone together under a weeping willow.
As the season of romance comes a close, I thought I’d upload a little something to cap things off. As I’ve mentioned before, I love the idea of these two. I’m not sure if I’m the first person to come up with them as a ship, but I think they fit well together. Captain Celaeno and her crew are pirates with a thirst for adventure, and Rainbow Dash was able to connect with them instantly because of that. I could totally see shipping her with one of them, particularly Mullet the first mate of Celaeno’s crew since he is seen briefly with her swinging on a rope.
I know this image is accompanied by a small poem, but there is some context to it. Once again, it is the Grand Galloping Gala, and Rainbow Dash invites Mullet as her plus one to the event since she thinks he and the other pirates are pretty cool. When offered to dance later on though, Dashie is too nervous, worried that slow dancing with other’s watching will ruin her reputation of being cool and tough. As a solution/compromise, Mullet takes her with a secluded place in the castle gardens under a weeping willow, away from prying eyes. Just for her sake and comfort. Rainbow isn’t that used to romance or being courted, but new feelings arise during their time together.
By the way, that poem isn’t from anything, I came up with it on the spot. ^^’
