I feel like a bit of an impostor for leaning on a reference like this, since I’m not even old enough for Ghostbusters to have been a contemporary film. (Though certainly old enough to have become a TV staple and pop culture monolith when I was growing up.)

Twilight Sparkle: Look, I get that there’s not much point in talking… But I want to at least be a LITTLE smart about this. I can’t hide or sneak, I don’t have the element of surprise, so… Talking is the one thing I haven’t gotten a chance to try yet.
Rainbow Dash: <siiiiiigh…> Yeah, it’s your fight. Do it how you gotta.
Twilight Sparkle: …Thanks. I appreciate the help.
Rainbow Dash: Nah, don’t mention it.
DM: So what do you do?
Twilight Sparkle: I think mostly what Rainbow described. But instead I pass him and swerve back around for a landing.
Rainbow Dash: Awww, thanks for using part of it, at least.
DM: Alright, well if you’re puttin on that display of power, mind if I add a wrinkle for dramatic effect?
Twilight Sparkle: …Sure? I guess?
DM: It’s not just magic that you absorbed. Your pegasus flight is also very much powered up. So the landing might be a little… tricky.
Twilight Sparkle: Uh-oh.
DM: You’re not going to take any damage or anything. But instead of stopping a nice, reasonable distance away, you’re going to skid across the grass for a bit.
Twilight Sparkle: Oh, great. But yeah, that totally makes sense.
SFX: (SCREEECH!) (BUMP!)

DM: It’s not often I get to break out the Gargantuan tokens. This is a treat for me.
Discord: You’re welcome, I suppose. I still can’t believe that Tirek was originally MY idea and you turned it all against me.
Applejack: Woah-ho, really?? We didn’t know that part.
Rarity: Talk about choosing the form of your own destroyer.
Pinkie Pie: Don’t cross the streams!
Fluttershy: Um… Is that a reference to something?
DM: I feel old now.
