Why are you so terrified, so angry, so sad?  
I know all you wanted, was the love that she had.  
 
You lashed in terror, you lashed out in fear,  
my biggest mistake was that I no longer was here.  
 
Anger swept me away, it clouded my mind,  
until all was left was you inside.  
 
You’re not meant to control me, you’re not meant to decide,  
I was supposed to be there for you, to be your guide.  
 
You still harbor fear, so much I can tell.  
But I’m here now, all will be well.  
 
We’ve always been loved, we were just too blind to see.  
Give in to something new, let go and trust me.  
 
You still belong to me, that will always be true,  
but together we’re stronger, as a me AND you.
