Pinkie recently learned of Twilight’s fear of snakes and wanted to help her conquer it. Working together with her terse and beloved sister, Maud, Pinkie formulates a plan to have her sister drink a potion that turns her into a lamia for little while. With her now half-snake, half-pony body, Maud has an easy time reaching some of her cavern home’s mineral deposits, ones that had been previously out of reach and teasing her since she discovered the place. At the same time, she gently accepts a shaking and fearful Twilight into her coils, wrapping her up and helping her calm down with some gentle, rhythmic squeezes. After Twilight stops panicking, she goes from tense and scared to relaxed, then sinks deeper into a state of bliss, something that Pinkie was hoping to see. Here, we capture the exact moment Twilight finds out something new about herself while conquering her fear of snakes… Maud, meanwhile, continues collecting some nearby crystal samples, readying her rock pick to harvest a beautiful alexandrite growing out of one of the cavern’s many stalactites.
 
A fantastic commission from my good friend MightyShockwave! I had a blast coming up with the snakey lamia body and how to weave it about the ceiling so that we could get this lovely view. Maud’s cave home is one of the most beautiful places in the show, imho, and it was fun to finally get a chance to draw it. I figured Maud is really good at multitasking, so the Pie sisters end up bonking two birds with one stone. Twilight, in this timeline, is now free of her phobia of snakes! Perhaps there’s even a blossoming appreciation for them now? Those heart eyes tell an interesting story…
 
While I haven’t been posting a ton on Derpi here or… well, anywhere, really, I’ve actually been busy making art every single day since… I think April? There are a TON of drawings that are just sketches atm, but quite a few of them might see the light of day and either get lines or I’ll just slap some color on the sketches and post them up. I feel like I’ve been getting a lot faster with my art and hope to have more to share with ya’ll in the near future. I’m going to stay busy, draw a ton of ponies, and keep the good times rollin’ baby! Until my next “blog post/picture”, I urge all ya’ll to keep it classy, ponefriends ;)
