The white unicorn dashed through Ponyville with a certain kind of flair, taking step by step through the soft green grass as she swayed her hips like anypony would do when walking, but this particular time she looked like 20% more flair even if she just did what a regular pony did, and the rest of Ponyville seemed to agree, as a vast majority of the ponyese inhabitants on the small village looked at her astounded, some said ‘Whoah’, others were simply with an impressed stare, and there were a few who were jealous, but the most important thing is that all eyes were currently on her.
She strode through the little markets that conformed the wide streets, vendors and buyers equally looking at her as she proudly smiled them back, even shooting a wink at one of the buyers, who seemed to not be able to hold all that flair and fainted, his bag of bananas falling to the floor as another pony hurried to assist him and avoid him bonking his head in the wooden stand in front of him. She just smiled as she exited the vending area, spotting a pony she knew very well at the distance.
“Oh hi Applejack, how are you doing today, darling?” she asked, it was unclear if she was genuinely curious of her orange Earth pony friend or she was actually just trying to impress with her mouth-watering black attire. The farmer pony had to look at her twice, from the hooves to the tip of her tail, to actually recognize her clearly. “Rarity?” She seemed to ask in confirmation, and, after noticing the mane and tail that were the most remarkable traits of her unicorn friend, she seemed to realize this pony that was talking to her with such cool uniform was indeed Rarity. “Ah’m… howdy? Er… Where ya got that sugarcube? You’re sure lookin’ neat, let me tell ya” She said, casting a glance on her uniform, then another one, she was 50% sure she made this herself, but she felt that this particular attire was not something she would usually do.
“Oh, this Applejack? I’ve designed it. For the Arma dei Carabinieri Gendarmeria, now they’re mas producing my design and giving it to all their forces, and I get some royalties. I found those uniforms too exquisite to not try one myself, and they gave one of the officer uniforms. And thank you for the compliment darling” The white fashionista pony said, swishing her mane to the side in a grand fashion and much flair, even perhaps a bit of exaggeration, but it was all in the name of looking good.
“I have to admit it… didn’t see ya as someone to make military uniforms” Rarity said, feeling a bit envious of her attire. Sure, she wouldn’t probably never wear that kind of clothing, especially because all the terrain work her job required, but she kinda felt tempted to have one herself just to show it off like Rarity was doing.
“It’s not quite a military dear, it’s a gendarmerie… think of a military, but with law enforcement duties. And I just wanted to experience new things, and doing fashion law enforcement uniforms sounded like a good idea to experimentate” She said, getting her cape out of the way to reveal part of her hindleg, the tip of the cape resting just next to the hindhoof as she let the uniform under the cape expose itself towards the sun rays and astonished spectators. At this time, another friend of the apple pony and the fashion pony just came flying, landing right next to the Stetson-wearing pony. “Wazzup Applejack, do you have any more cid-… Who are y-… Rarity?” She asked, feeling absolute levels of confusion no one would probably ever experience… Rarity is probably the least pony she would’ve expected see wearing a military uniform… Well… maybe Fluttershy… no wait… didn’t she once try to wear a Royal Guard armor? Still, she had to admit this uniform of Rarity had that fashion that characterized her whole being.
It was kind of weird for the blue Pegasus… well… rather weird in fact. She always thought Rarity as a fashionista dressed to impress, but this just broke all the standards and views she had of the box of surprises named “Rarity”. She flew around her, looking from head to hoof at the clothing that she wore proudly just like a certain farmer pony that was left on the background had done so mere minutes ago; The whole uniform was almost purely black, with certain spots of red in key areas, both colors that seemed to contrast and go quite well with her royal blue eyes and her angelical white coat. The hat was some kind of smaller version of Applejack’s hat, atleast for her, with a golden symbol of what seemed to be a bush, or feathers of sort. The rest of the uniform seemed to consist on a jet black cape with red highlights here and there, an equally dark suit-kind of thing with a white shirt and a tie, a white belt that went through her chest, some smaller hoof-embroidered white thingies, an epaulette with a red border and three white stars inside, some black pants with a red stripe on their side, combat boots of sorts, and even white gloves for the forehooves. She couldn’t help but internally think that Rarity looked dashing like that… Ok no more puns I swear.
“Yes, darling, it’s me, Rarity. Do you like what you see?” Rarity proceeded to tease her, swishing her hips and just plainly showing off her uniform to Ponyville’s show-off stuntspony. “It’s a gendarmerie uniform, of the Carabinieri.” She added, feeling quite proud of herself by all the attention she was receiving, her design was a complete success.
“I’m not sure if that’s even… er… useful… But dang I want one” Rainbow Dash bluntly said, just admiring the uniform as she walked alongside the purple-maned pony. She often was one to not wear anything Rarity gave to her, because her specialty was pretty much dresses, pink, and cute things she was too cool to wear ~Except in private, but let’s not mention that, she would turn from blue to red by blushing alone if we ever mentioned that in public, haha~, but this uniform was fashionable yet also quite cool. “You got enlisted… or let me guess; drafted? I didn’t know ponies were getting drafted…”
“Oh no darling, I’m not in the military or any law enforcement agency per se. I mean, I’ve got a law enforcement ID indicating I’m their favourite fashionista, but that’s not important…” She trailed off, waving a hoof in the hair to dismiss the last comment she spoke. “I actually just designed those based on their requirements, and they wanted fashion, so I’ll provide fashion. The commander was nice enough to give me one officer uniform that I could try myself. And darling, I’m so proud of my own work” she said, a bit of narcissism while she admired her uniformed figure, raising an arm to look at her (Pretty much fake) ‘rank’ she ‘obtained’.
“And if you want one yourself, I can make you one. I was the one who designed them anyways, hehehe” She laughed, some kind of royal or polite laugh she had mastered through her life, one that seemed or hinted to upper-class but wasn’t necessarily one that insulted or put others uncomfortable. She gestured the Rainbow-haired pony to go alongside her with one hoof, starting to walk towards her boutique. “Come with me darling, I’ve got to take you the necessary measurements and make sure your clothing suits like a glove” she said, noticing how the Pegasus followed her. Shortly afterwards though, another yell was heard from behind the duo. “Can I get one too partner?” It was Applejack who broke the loud silence in the air, waving a hoof in the air to be noticed and proceeding to trot faster to stay alongside the two mares, going towards Rarity’s building. “Of course dear, would I be the element of generosity if I declined your polite request?” Rarity giggled again, as she dashed through the starstruck crowd with her clothing, feeling especially giddy on the inside that her fashion had finally touched her friends, even if it wasn’t the usual dress she did.

This is a little peculiar drawing I decided to do because a friend kinda dared me (In a sense, he didn’t quite dare me but more like talk about it) to make a Rarity with the most fashionable uniform of any Gendarmerie ever; the Italian Carabinieri. They look so dashing and cool I can’t help but feel like wanting to draw them myself, and who’s the most fashionable pony on the Mane Six? ~Applejack~ Rarity of course, so I decided to just mix the two together and boom, Rarity in the most fashionable law enforcement uniform evar :D
I was originally going to make an story that Rarity enlisted into the Carabinieri, but then I decided not to, in any case, as I pointed out in the story, it’s not that likely for Rarity to handle all that filth and dirt of boot camp XP. Being serious though, I just thought that her being basically the designer of such clothes would be better, and I kinda like how the uniform fits on her to be honest, she looks quite cool, nya.
The uniform is kinda like a mix of an officer uniform and an enlisted one, namely, I think the white belt is for regular troops compared to a red/black belt of an officer, she’s also using the golden Carabinieri symbol on her hat, which also indicates officers (I think, I’m not knowledgeable in Carabinieri uniforms, I’m just basing on the thousands of reference pics I found >.>’). She also has a ~smol~ pistol holster with what I would assume is either a paintball gun or a water gun. And her epaulettes are the ones of a Capitano (Captain; OF-2). I tried to make the uniform darker, but overall I have a really sucky black color and didn’t end up as I would’ve liked. Also, the mane and tail seem to be colored by a 5 year old… which is basically the level my coloring skills are at XP.
I didn’t quite do a background here since I was lazy and to be honest I had no idea what kind of background I could do, though now that I see the finished drawing, I probably should’ve done a Manehattan background like a city, nyaaaa….
And well, she’s fluffy as ever, because I love doing everything I do fluffy. I just hope everybody likes it and nobody gets offended, it’s not my intention to be offensive or racist or insensitive, I just want to draw cute pones, nya :D
