This is a collaboration with wisp-on-paper
Who wrote the story while I drew the pictures c:

Mingle ‘midst the marauders
A little one in the company of robbers
Swooped away into their fray
As dusk came out to play
And woke in the hinterlands
Where for a night they made stay
From between the host of tents
Flames licked up the darkened skyline
And picked up the spirit of a little one
For the multitude of stars to muse on
Wonderstruck but serene
Sat beside an ashen scene
‘Round fire that gleans
Warmth beneath starry canopies
She gazed timidly
Where flickers of firelight
Scared the wavering shadows out of sight
Unveiling each captor’s face
Spurred her heart, to race
Till eyelids grew tired
And to bed whims wandered
Bound and bundled , imagination caught and trundled
Peeping through pinpricks in a tattered sackcloth cot
Onto moonlight hung fast aloft, where dreams do not decay
Her wishes stole away
