All Equestrian Air Force pegasi need to complete a winter survival exercise before they are allowed to start their flight training. With nothing but a parachute, pruning saw, knife, storm matches and two glow sticks a pony needs to survive in an arctic environment for a week.
The most challenging thing isn’t the lack of food or the freezing cold. What really makes surviving at the Arctic Circle difficult, is the complete and continuous darkness.
