Siblings: Serendipity (step-sister), Roxbury Russet (step-sister), Emerald Shine (half-brother)
 
General Info:  
Jasper was born to Spike during his time spent out in the Dragon Lands following his departure from Ponyville. He met a female dragon who then proceeded to leave him shortly after laying their egg. Feeling that the Dragon Lands wasn’t the safest place for a single dad to care for a baby, Spike decided to return to Ponyville with a newly hatched Jasper. After returning home Spike ends up reconnecting with Rarity, who was now raising two daughters by herself after her marriage with Braeburn ended. After catching up on old times, Spike and Rarity ended up growing closer over time and later got married when Jasper was two.
 
Personality-wise, Jasper is a very mellow and laid back dragon. Like most other dragons, he’s very interested in gems, but not for eating. Jasper likes to study rocks and gemstones and aspires to become a gemologist someday.
 
Relationships:  
Having never known his biological mother, Jasper is very close with his step-mom Rarity as she’s the only mother figure he’s ever really known. He gets along well with his two step-siblings and is a great older sibling to his younger half-brother, Emerald Shine. Jasper also gets along well with Agate Quartz, his younger cousin who lives near Diamond Dog territory who also shares his interest in gemstones.
