Back when I had a hedge headcanon (hedgecanon, if you will) that Discord was a corrupted Star Swirl the Bearded, I thought it would be interesting if in very dire circumstances Discord might fall back on “regular” magic spells rather than his chaotic omnipotence.

So once again, Friendship is Dragons is where I end up putting all my miscellaneous MLP fanfic ideas.

Transcript:

Twilight Sparkle: Since we’re not in danger and we lost the element of surprise anyway… I’m going to get rid of the glamour hiding my wings.
DM: Are you sure? You’re going to get a lot of gasps and looks from the crowd.
Twilight Sparkle: I’ll officially worry about that later.
DM: Just a little anticlimactic, is all.
Twilight Sparkle: Can I use Arcana around the impact site to determine what *exactly* happened when the Elements hit Discord?
DM: Sure, though maybe we need a better way to do “magical forensics” than just rolling Arcana–
Twilight Sparkle: <roll> Natural 20.
DM: Oh! Well, in that case: Yes, there are absolutely telltale teleportation signs. A “normal” teleport spell, at that, not chaotic space-folding.
Twilight Sparkle: Fascinating!
Rainbow Dash: Look, buddy. I get pulling out all the stops. But fleeing the boss battle?! *Come on! Where your honor?*
